Super incredibly friendly, helpful and warm welcoming staff. I felt like family at this pasty shop. The empanada pasty is off the charts delicious. My mouth actually started drooling when I was eating it and that does not happen often at all, that was so funny. You can’t beat homemade healthy food like this, especially with a drive-through window, and you can place orders ahead of time. I’m pretty excited to try several other pasties, wow! Amazingly yummy, fresh and hot! Thank you so much!
Beef with the gravy was the favorite. Chicken and broccoli was also really tasty. Baked fresh daily. Helpful and friendly staff as well. I do believe it's just a drive up, but there wasn't a wait and the prices are good.
They have delicious traditional pasties. The flavors are wonderful, and the crust is light and fluffy! The have one picnic bench outside and two small tables inside; perfect for a quick lunch!
Driving through the area and decided to stop and have lunch. Terrific food!! We tried the beef and rutabaga and the chicken and broccoli. Both were exceptional. There is a small seating area inside. We liked them so much we brought frozen pasties home with us!! Highly recommend Col K’s!!!
We have tried several pastie shops in the UP but this was our first time at Colonel K's. They were REALLY good. I'm actually surprised that i haven't heard anyone recommend them over other places like Dobber's or Gram's because I now prefer Colonel K's over them. The ladies working were very nice and you can't beat that "Up North" vibe in a little pasty shop
My first time trying a pasty and I’m quite impressed. It’s a flaky dough pocket filled with hearty fillings. Dough was buttery and flaky with the crimped edges reminding me of the crust on pie dough (the best part!!). These things are stuffed to the brim and are amazing when eaten fresh. I got a large variety of fillings. Each were generously portioned. The cabbage and beef was tender. Flavorful and well cooked. The chicken reminded me of a pot pie filling which I was a huge fan of. If you’re vegetarian, the vegetarian version is quite similar just with no chicken. I was surprised as most places don’t do vegetarian well, but this was a hit! It was packed with flavor. The Denver and Ham&Cheese were fantastic breakfast pasties. Generous portions of eggs inside. Overall, can’t recommend enough!

First time here. Had lasagne soup, which was AMAZING! Also the beef with rutabaga and an empanada pasty. Yum! But it was the smiley, cheerful and thorough customer service that really made this a great choice. Wish I knew her name (raven haired, petite, younger). Cute place.
